Santa Clara is beach first. The sand runs long and the built edge is lighter than Coronado. People come for that openness: mornings on the water, fewer towers, a slower main street.
Plan on driving for some of what Coronado has on the corner. That is a fair trade if the beach is why you moved, and a poor one if you want to walk to a clinic. We work this town regularly and can line up viewings even when a specific home is not on the public page yet.
